Picnic at Kanhas!

We has our first picnic at Kanhas, where we went to Collingwood Animal Farm. It was a great opportunity for the children to interact with nature closely. They got to cuddle guinea pigs, milk a cow and feed sheep, horses, and chickens!

We also saw a beautiful peacock, some calves and a vegetable garden. The mothers and siblings had all come along for the trip so we also had a yummy feast at lunch time.
I am sure, observing and interacting with the animals so closely, gave the young children a deep appreciation, love and sensitivity towards them. They will all think twice before eating someone that they have so lovingly fed and cuddled themselves!
