The Value Of Friendship

We recently did a mini theme on Friendship when we studied the pastime of Lord Krishna and His dear friend Sudama. We made cute little friendship crowns – each child made a crown of 5-6 people holding hands in a circle. Each person was decorated to represent one of the child’s friends. They wrote the first letter of each friend’s name to aid recognition as well :)

Each child made a cute gift representing “friends stick together” for their special friend as well.

We also did a writing activity where the child had to write about his best friend.

Another fun activity – was friendship fudge. We mixed together lots of love (sugar), sharing(cream), fun and mischief(carob), and a little bit of fighting(vanilla essence) in a sealable ziplock bag. The children took turns squeezing the bag until all the ingredients were mixed to get yummy “Friendship fudge”
